Movement is only the beginning.
SoulArtAth is an independent cultural platform that creates spaces where art becomes a tool for education, connection, collaboration and social change.
Since 2017, we have been building projects that bring people together through movement, creativity and shared experiences. What began as a small collective has grown into a platform developing events, educational programs, artistic collaborations and community initiatives.
Our long-term vision is to become an internationally recognized non-profit organization that supports artists, empowers communities and creates opportunities through culture.
WHY WE EXIST
SoulArtAth wasn’t created because we had funding.
It wasn’t created because there was a market opportunity.
It was created because something was missing.
As artists ourselves, we constantly found ourselves asking the same question:
“Why doesn’t this exist?”
We wanted spaces where people could train without judgment.
We wanted communities that valued collaboration over ego.
We wanted events that celebrated culture instead of only competition.
We wanted conversations that continued after the music stopped.
We wanted opportunities for artists to grow—not only technically, but personally and professionally.
Most importantly, we wanted to belong to something that reflected the values we believed in.
Those spaces didn’t exist. So we decided to build them.
Every project we create begins the same way.
Not from trends.
Not from funding.
Not because someone asked us to.
But because we believe that if a community genuinely needs something meaningful, someone has the responsibility to create it.
For us, that responsibility became SoulArtAth.
WHAT WE DO
SOULART DANCE BATTLE
Our battle platform, running since 2021.
More than a competition, it is a celebration of freestyle culture, creativity, respect and artistic exchange.
It gives dancers a space to challenge themselves while strengthening the local and international community.
SOULNIGHT
Born from a simple need: creating nights where people don’t just watch each other—they connect.
A welcoming space where movement becomes a way to meet, share and belong.
SOULART PODCAST
Created from a simple need: to preserve the stories, knowledge and experiences that shaped street culture before they disappear.
Through conversations with pioneers, artists, educators and cultural practitioners, the podcast documents personal journeys, creative philosophies and the evolution of the culture across generations.
Our long-term vision is to build a living archive where future generations can discover where the culture came from, how it evolved and the people who helped shape it.
SOULJAMS
Open gatherings designed to remove barriers between artists.
These events encourage improvisation, collaboration and genuine connection between people who might otherwise never meet.
SOULART FESTIVAL

An international interdisciplinary festival bringing together dance, music, visual arts, education and social innovation.
A place where artists, educators, organizations and communities meet to create lasting impact together.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
We believe culture is not something people simply consume.It is something they build together. Movement is only the language. The real work happens when people from different cultures, generations and experiences meet, listen, create and grow together. Every class, jam, battle, podcast, festival or artistic collaboration we organize exists for the same reason:to create meaningful human connection. Because stronger communities create stronger artists. And stronger artists create stronger communities.
OUR IMPACT
Although we are still independently organized and currently operate without institutional funding, our work has continued to grow through collaboration, trust and community support. Everything we have built has been created by a small team of five people who developed their skills while building SoulArtAth itself. Together we have organized battles, educational programs, community events, artistic collaborations, podcasts and international partnerships, proving that meaningful cultural work is possible even with limited resources. For us, this is only the beginning.

We envision a future where culture is accessible, collaborative and community-driven.
Our goal is to establish SoulArtAth as an official non-profit organization that develops sustainable artistic programs across Greece and internationally.
We want to create opportunities for artists who often work without support.
We want to connect communities through creativity.
We want to build partnerships between institutions, educators and independent artists.
Most importantly, we want to leave behind structures that continue creating opportunities long after we are gone.

SoulArtAth is built by a multidisciplinary team of artists, educators, researchers and community builders. Since 2017, we have grown together while creating the opportunities, programs and cultural spaces we once wished existed ourselves.
Founder & Creative Director
JOHN MIKEL ERGAR
John co-founded SoulArtAth in 2017 with the vision of creating the spaces he wished existed as an artist. His work combines hip-hop freestyle, education, artistic direction and community building, shaping the creative vision behind the organization’s programs and long-term development.
He leads the artistic strategy of SoulArtAth, developing projects that connect movement, culture and social impact while building partnerships locally and internationally.

KOFI YIADOM
As co-founder of SoulArtAth, Kofi plays a central role in shaping the artistic identity and direction of the organization. His experience as an artist, educator and community builder contributes to the creative development of every initiative.
Working alongside John, he transforms ideas into meaningful experiences that strengthen both artists and communities.
Communications & Digital Media
Giorgios Alim Kanu
Alim leads SoulArtAth’s digital communication and visual presence. Through social media, storytelling and content creation, he helps share the organization’s work while building meaningful connections with audiences beyond the events themselves.
His work ensures that SoulArtAth’s mission reaches and inspires new communities.
Operations & Partnerships
Panagiotis Demoirakos
Demoi supports the organizational and operational development of SoulArtAth. From budgeting and logistics to communication with partners and project coordination, he helps transform ideas into sustainable and well-structured initiatives.
His ability to bridge creative vision with practical organization is essential to the team’s growth.

Semeli Papagiannakopoulou
Semeli contributes to the development of SoulArtAth by supporting community engagement, communication and project coordination. She helps transform ideas into meaningful experiences while fostering relationships with artists, partners and local communities.
Her work strengthens the organization’s ability to create welcoming cultural spaces, build lasting collaborations and expand the impact of SoulArtAth’s initiatives.
